The President of the Supreme Judicial Council and the Court of Cassation of Iraq Mr. Faik Ziydan and the accompanying delegation rendered a visit to the Constitutional Court.

The President of the Constitutional Court Mr. Zühtü Arslan received the Iraqi delegation consisting of the President of the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq and the Members of the Court of Cassation and the Presidents of the Regional Courts of Appeal at his office.

Expressing his pleasure for hosting the Iraqi delegation in the Constitutional Court, President Arslan stated that he believed the visit will contribute to further development of good relations between the two countries. During the meeting President Arslan gave information about the structure and duties of the Constitutional Court.

The President of the Supreme Judicial Council and the Court of Cassation of Iraq Mr. Faik Ziydan stated that they have had very fruitful meetings in Turkey. Ziydan noted that they are willing to benefit from the experience of the Constitutional Court and that he believes that the relationship between the two countries’ high judicial institutions will further improve.
