As part of the Constitutional Court’s objectives to strengthen its bilateral relations in the international arena, a study visit on “The System of Access to Constitutional Justice” was organised in Italy on 5-6 June 2023.

Mr. Zühtü Arslan, President of the Turkish Constitutional Court, was accompanied by Mr. Kadir Özkaya, Deputy President, Mr. Yıldız Seferinoğlu, Justice, and Mr. Mehmet Yavuz Yaşar, Rapporteur-Judge.

As part of the visit, President Arslan had a bilateral meeting with Ms. Silvana Sciarra, President of the Constitutional Court of Italy on Monday 5 June. After the meeting, President Arslan was presented with a gift and signed the Book of Honour.

During the meeting, the delegation of the Constitutional Court and the delegation of the Italian Constitutional Court discussed “The System of Access to Constitutional Justice”.

On Tuesday 6 June, President Arslan delivered a speech on “Constitutional Justice in Türkiye” at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bologna.

The conference was attended by some judges and faculty members of the Law Faculty of the University of Bologna.
